A weekend with the OTHER Bowersesses

Although they only live in VA, we do not get to see the Grampa "G", Glam-Ma-Mary and Uncle Drake as often as we would like. We had an impromptu day last Saturday and they took a few great pictures. Uncle Drake is the best uncle around and Lily loves him for it! Yeah Drake!

"No, I have no idea about golf...but we do look gorgeous."

As Glam-ma-Mary said...she looks like she listens to Roger as much as I do....ha ha!
Just plain cute with her new RedSox ducky....which Daddy obviously hates. Great day!

How often do you get to tell a kid to go play in the road?

For us, it is once a year. Our block actually closes off and we get to hang on the street. Lily is getting to like it more and more each year. There is a moon bounce which is so scary for Mommy to watch but Lily really enjoys it.

The next picture cracks me up. It really looks like she is going to bust into some serious hip hop moves....errr, I mean, she totally did and it was awesome. What? You weren't there, it could have happened. That is her friend Lauren in the neighborhood a few months older than her. We have had quite the influx of children moving into our neighborhood and a lot are around 2 years old...oh, and another Bowers with a two year old. Posers, I am sure. ( :

Daddy representing the PBR at the party.....

This is our neighbor/friend Michael who is the reason most of the cool things happen on our street. He is great and organizes the whole thing.

Moon bounce!

Again, walking down the middle of the street.....totally acceptable. Now, on to changing that short lived exception.

Ready for Halloween!

Grandma Barbara came over and "we" carved a pumpkin. Daddy was really into it and did a great job. With some great supervisors assisting.....

We even did the monster mash....

Donned some costume related items...

Saw some creepy caterpillars....(it was actually quite huge!)

Roasted some pumpkin seeds....

And light the Jack-O-Lantern. Mommy couldn't have been happier.

Rainy Bowling Day

We were supposed to go to the Oyster Fesitval in MD but it was soooo rainy and icky outside we opted for bowling and oysters out and had a GREAT TIME!

Daddy has his own shoes and really long pants made his look that day.....

Upside down fun....

I really wish this picture turned out better since it is soooo cute. I am sure I will have another chance with Jake the jokster.

Sadie and Lily actually hung out a lot more this day. They probably were both admiring each other's fashion sense. We were anyway.

Then off the eat some oysters and a few drinks....the Chincoteague oysters were great, I shall remember that since we never know the different types.

The gang was there too...

Ryan being silly!
Then the Edelsteins came over for some dinner and a movie while the adults had some fun for themselves. Mike actually said...I think it is EASIER when they are here. Lily hung with them, we hung with the adults. Lots of fun. Great day!

Cox Farms Halloween Festival!

Seriously, do these things get old...not for me. Hilarious, Lily cleaning house for her family which consists of Sadie and Jake.

Lily first went down with Daddy and then after seeing Sadie go by herself.....

All by herself and psyched!

There was dancing and Lily went out all by herself to shake it..literally...it was hilarious.

The true stars of the event were the creepy stuffed animals...

Lily was so psyched to be here and was running around with her two best buds Sadie and Jake. She was giddy and a giggle monster. Very fun. Actually a chill place for kids.

There was a hayride which naturally had aliens (friendly) as well as Peanuts characters and the Clintons with beenies on their heads. O...k...that is scary.

She said..."Hey Flower, whatcha doin' here?"

A local "hike"....

We travel so often, we hardly ever get a weekend at home. Lucky us, our neighborhood is awesome and we have a lot to do within walking distance. This Sunday we took a walk to the Cathedral (or Castle-Cathedral as Lily calls it) and walked the trail through the woods on the Cathedral ground and then to its gardens.

Lily was looking for tigers as she was SURE this is where they lived. Other than some rowdy squirrels, we were disappointed but still had fun.

This is Daddy and Lily finding Mommy after hide-n-seek.....

AND then when Daddy didn't see sneaky camouflage Mommy and her jumping out of the bushes. It was quite hilarious as you can see.....Daddy was not as amused as scared. ( :

The gardens at the Cathedral...

Daddy finding his artistic photographic talent....pretty good actually....

Walking the amphitheater and really wonders what it is used for as I would like to see something there....fun little exploration though...

At home in the "hoods"......
We are all cool....
