The Beach and the plane the plane...

Ahhh, this was Lily's first time at the beach! We went to Mike's cousin Rebecca's wedding in Sarasota, Florida so we stopped at the beach one day. Obviously, we cared much more than Lily did but she did take a few looks at it like..."hmm, wonder where that is.
More importantly, where is my other sock?!?
Here are a few other good ones...

It was actually fairly cold while we were there so we managed to take 100 pictures within a 5 minute period. Luckily, the water was beautiful, not to swim in of course, but the landscape was really nice. When we drove around Florida, we thought, we could never ever live here...and then we went to the beach and thought THAT is why people live here. Although, we still couldn't do it.
There was an Applebees every 100 feet it seemed.

In other news, LILY WAS AMAZING ON THE PLANE!! We really think she is one tough cookie with a very high pain threshold. We had some worry about her ears but on the way down she only slightly tugged on one as if to say, hey, something is different here. But she did not cry once and seemed actually excited by the whole experience. She loves to people watch, as noted in other posts, so she was in heaven. We are really lucky.
Thanks Lil!

I hope this continues when Mommy has to take Lily by herself to see her family in upstate NY in a few weeks.but I am sure she will be!

Peek-a-boo

Nice little Saturday....

This is actually one of the best family photos we have. We are there, stalking in the background as we will be as parents in her teenage life. Saturday was pretty nice so we walked (yup, Mike walked) to Open City to grab some food. It's amazing how easily entertained she is now a days. I know its probably a small window when we can take her out to a restaurant and she is so pleased to just sit there and stare at other diners. Fine, the other people are weirded out by it but we are happy and she is happy so we are officially those parents that only care about our kids at the restaurant. Probably what these dorks from www.nokidding.net would complain about.... Based on this picture, I have a guess why they don't "want" children. Frankly, they are doing society a justice, thank you. This is apparently a recent picture. Yup, you see a fanny pack all the way to the left on the end. And I am not sure if that is a beard in the middle, or he is a bee keeper. Either way, probably best he isn't a dad.

Ok, sorry, tangent over.... here are some other pictures from our "boring but cute to us" morning. My favorite is the first, maybe because Bowers is drinking coffee or maybe its because Lily is admiring him, probably both.

OK, this makes us laugh..anyone else?

We realize that this stuff may be very funny ONLY to her parents but Lily has this new spaz out phase she is going through and its really really funny. It reminds me of her cousin Maddy that did the same thing when she would sit down to eat. I think she was a bit older and hungry (Maddy really likes to eat!). Her Mom would cut her food up and tell her she can't eat it until it cooled down. Maddy would be good and sit there, not touching it, but always, ALWAYS, spazzing out.
This one she starts doing some funky dance hand roll. Yes, we think its hilarious.
