Lily goes to Mommy's hometown!

This was on the ferry from Burlington to Plattsburgh where Papa let Lily "drive!" It took a long time for us to get home but apparently there was only two ferries since one ran into the dock the week before. Yikes. The waters were rough in Lake Champlain but we managed. Even tough Daddy looked off the back of the boat and got scared.

The purpose of our trip was a winter escape for the whole Burke clan from Papa and Grandma. We went to a hotel and the kids swam in the big pool while Lily swam in the little pool.

I love this pic...adorable legs. Love it.
Lily gets so much attention up there and her world will soon be changing with the addition of Kevin and Erin's little one in March! So exciting. Here is a pic of them invading the kiddie pool to play with her. (The kid in the middle is our friend Tyler!)

Lily laughs at Matthew while Maddie carefully looks after her baby cousin. Anson just plays.

Thanks Papa and Grandma for a great weekend!
The biggest news of the week started on our return home. Lily caught some stomach flu that has hit almost every kid around DC, VA and NY. I am not quite sure who to blame but I will find someone. Anyway, we were sitting in the Airport in Burlington about to sip the first drink off of a beer and BAM!!! ALL OVER THE TABLE! I ran to the bathroom and left a trail of Lily the whole way. I even said "Are you ok, honey?" And she replied "Yeah" and then BAM. another While I was attempting to clean Lily and myself without any new change of clothes I heard the announcement "Would the cleaning crew please report to the restaurant there has been ahh..an accident." OK, the "crew" wasn't necessary after Mike tried his best to clean up as much as possible. Luckily we got a row on the plane all to ourselves since we smelled. Oh and Lily got sick again on the plane. And those little sick bags aren't the most inviting thing to a 20 month old. Here honey...we just want to place this bag over your face while you have no idea what is happening to you. Once more in the car home and we made it.

She had a few lulls in the week but now she has moved further down her system. This little bugger (no pun intended) has really stuck with Lily all week. She is drinking (somewhat) and eating (somewhat) so we think she is going to make it. Not surprising, she has been the most fun little girl through the whole thing. Even when she would get sick, she was over it in a few minutes, laughing and playing. Of course, that just makes it more confusing for us since we think...ok, it is over the BAM. NOT OVER.

Anyway, this will be a story we tell for years and we will start by saying...which kid was that got sick all over the Burlington Airport Restaurant..oh right, it was Lily. ( :

PS. I think Bam is better than Vomit for some reason. Of course, if you like Emeril, you will now be disgusted by his food forever....(inserting evil laugh here).
