Mommy's Home!!

After a long week in NYC for work, I came home to this beautiful girl! It seems that Daddy and Lily had a great time while I was away but she did miss me! YEAH! So good to be home. This is a great picture of us sitting on the couch bonding. To be honest, I am not quite sure that she noticed I was gone. I guess when Daddy came home from work she would ask about me so that is good. I did talk to her every day and she blew me kisses.

The best part of my first night home was putting her to bed and her taking out her "paci" enough to say Uv you Mama. Ahhhh.....

When mama is away...

Mama is in NYC this week, so Lily is dressing a little different with Dad in charge (see video below). Mama, if you are reading this we had a nice bath tonight as well. And contrary to my Facebook status, I have been feeding her things other than sausage and cheese. But come home soon.

OBAMA!!!!!

While Lily is not in this video, it represents a brighter future for her. Stacey and I feel so lucky and humbled to be there, 20 feet away, from the Obama's on their historic night. Here is a video of the beginning of his speech (see Stacey in the bottom right corner in the first few seconds). We are so grateful to Grandma Barbara for the opportunity and for sharing the night with us.

Lily and Jack!

Seriously, they are pretty cute! We went to see The Hills yesterday in their new home! It is wonderful and we are super happy for them. It is right across the street from a park so when it warms up we will surely spend some play time there.

Jack and Lily, after a bit of warming up, were running around and playing like crazy! The parents and some freinds tried to watch the "We Are One" concert on TV and were able to catch glimpses between the kids running around.

They actually did get some good hugs towards the end. Lily was willing to hug the second she got there, Jack needed some time to warm up to this crazy little girl. Once he did, he gave her a kiss AND a huge bear hug! Thanks to the Hills for a great time! Congrats on the great place!

Best Buy Speaker Room/New TV!!

The family went to Best Buy twice this weekend which turns out to be a great place for Lily. Of course, we were shopping, and eventually purchased a 50 inch plasma, so its a pretty great place for the parents too. (IT IS AWESOME!)

In addition to dancing like crazy to a live Police Concert video playing on a 60 inch plasma, Lily really enjoyed the room with all the speakers and the hip hop. Mommy and Lily waited in this room while the big purchase was made and made this video:




So we eventually bought the TV and went to take it in our car. Hmmm, that doesn't fit with the carseat. Well, the best decision we had was to leave Lily behind and drop the TV off since we were not going home empty handed. Fine, don't freak out, Mommy was left behind with Lily too. Daddy was super quick and was back after 20 minutes. Lily played with some kids in the Container Store. Turns out those places ARE playgrounds.....when the staff isn't looking.

Fun weekend and now an amazing TV that we will be immersed in HDTV programming. Planet Earth pretty much rocks but can be scary. Although we watched the a special about the Great Coral Reef with Lily, we managed to hide her from the scary stuff. After Lily went to bed, we caught ourselves watching "Lion Eating Frenzy" which is as detailed as it gets. We missed the rest of the marathon which included "Bear Eating Frenzy" and "Shark Eating Frenzy." I am sure we will catch these once our stomachs settle.

Daddy and Lily Time After Work

Lily really looks forward to seeing her Daddy come through that door after his work day. Mommy walks in and she just looks beyond her with that hope in her eye that Daddy will follow. When he doesn't, she just walks on. Well, he is a pretty fun guy. They really have a good time when he comes home and, yes, she loves her Mommy, but Daddy/Lily time is pretty special.
